My Second Matchbox Car!

Car: '68 Ford Mustang GT CS
Series: Heritage Classics 25/100
Location: Toy City @ City Mall KK
Date: 31 May 2011

Today is a good day to buy Mustang car,
Why? Because it is Yik Loong the Mustang King's birthday...
In order to commemorate his birthday,
I bought this 1968 Ford Mustang GT/CS,
So that it is easy for me to remember the date I hunted it...

Before that,
I always curious about meaning behind the abbreviation -
GT, CS, RT, SRT, RS, GS and more...
According to a website, here is what it says about GT,
"Gran turismo (or grand touring) is a term cooked up by car-crazy Italians ages ago to describe an automobile that could do it all. A GT combined the handling and high performance of a sports car with the ability to transport two grown-ups and their luggage in comfort across great distances. Generally, GTs are front-engine because that way they have a usable trunk and good visibility. GTs are special, too, often the most glamorous cars their makers produce and among the most expensive."
And also,
RT refers to Road and Track,
SRT refers to Street and Racing Technology,
RS refers to Rally Sport,
GS refers to Grand Sport,
But then I'm still uncertain about CS,
There are three possibilities,
1) Sport Coupe
First, it was known as the "GT/SC", as a nationally available Sport Coupe, then, after some discussion, developed as the GT/CS.
2) California Special
In mid-February 1968, the California Ford Dealers began to market a factory-built, limited-edition Mustang or "California Special".
3) Carlos Sainz
The export models are called Carlos Sainz (CS) Limited Edition in Europe (in honour of their famous WRC driver).
I voted first option being the correct term for GT/CS,
What do you think?

Before concluding my post for my second car,
I would like to conclude Yik Loong's birthday with a wish,
"Happy birthday and wish your dreams come true!" (Yy, 11:59pm, 31/5/11)

My First Matchbox Car!

Car: Ford GT - Metallic Purple
Series: Sports Cars 13/100
Location: Toy City @ City Mall KK
Date: 24 May 2011

First of all,
Why would I start to collect Matchbox?
It happened when I was helping friends to hunt for HWC,
At the same time, I also paid some attention to Matchbox,
This is when the Ford GT caught my attention...

Ford GT is the car that featured in Fast Five movie,
Car which was hijacked and stolen by Dom and Mia Toretto,
According to Stephen CK, he said:
"I suggest you to collect this car if you are a Matchbox collector!"
Just like that,
I was hypnotized to buy my first ever die-cast toy car,
And unconsciously became a Matchbox collector!

Besides,
I think I understand why there are people who collect more than 1,
One still intact and another is loose one...
Imagine that you had bought a damn cool HWC,
Sealed by package and you cannot touch it,
The feeling is just like a leng lui appeared in front of you,
Can see but cannot eat...

Quote from Wiki:
"The Ford GT is a mid-engine two-seater sports car. Ford Motor Company produced the Ford GT for the 2005 to 2006 model years. The designers drew inspiration from Ford's classic GT40 race cars of the 1960s. The car was named the GT (for Grand Touring) with the 40 representing its overall height of 40 inches.
